Investigation results

Since 2004, the responsibility for and the authority to conduct Railway safety investigations has been placed at the Accident Investigation Board - Aviation and Railway (AIB).

The railway safety investigations results are available via the investigation results in the main menu. The reports and bulletins are available in a PDF format.

Safety investigation results in the time period 1996-2004

From the 1st of August 1996 until the 30th of June 2004, the Railway Authority (Jernbanetilsynet) conducted accident, incident and safety related railway safety investigations.

Safety investigation results before 1996

Before 1996, safety investigations were conducted by each railway operator, and for the time period before 1996 investigations results are not available at the AIB.
